About The Respect Index
The Respect Index is a hiring accountability platform that publishes verified, user-submitted reports on employer hiring practices, recruiter conduct, ghost job postings, and workforce separations. The platform tracks over 1,500 companies and calculates Ghost Scores, Process Scores, and Separation Scores based on real candidate experiences. The Respect Index and its sister platform The Separation Index are operated by Talati Consulting.
The data story
The Respect Index tracks hiring behavior across industries and geographies, with verified report data on ghosting rates, interview process depth, unpaid work hour requirements, and separation practices. The platform monitors WARN Act filings, ghost job posting patterns, and recruiter accountability data. This data is available to journalists and researchers for editorial purposes.
Founder
The Respect Index was founded by Chintan Talati, a senior communications executive with 20 years of experience at companies including Prologis, Cox Automotive, Kelley Blue Book, Autotrader, TrueCar, and Edmunds. He holds an MBA with Honors from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and is based in Southern California.
